How to install ShellExec

    Make sure winget is available
    Windows 11 and recent Windows 10 builds ship winget via the App Installer. Check it’s ready:
    winget --version
    If it’s missing, install App Installer from the Microsoft Store.

    Open a terminal
    Launch Windows Terminal, PowerShell, or Command Prompt.
    Right-click the Start button — or press ⊞ Win + X

    Computer Management
    Terminal
    Terminal (Admin)
    Task Manager
    Settings
    Windows Terminal

    Run the install command
    Installs the latest version of ShellExec. The -e flag matches the exact package ID.
    winget install -e --id DavidLowndes.ShellExec

    Silent / unattended install (optional)
    For scripts or deployment, install with no prompts (works with the .zip installer):
